Playing in the backyard...

Today was so nice we couldn't stay indoors for long... Hailey spent some time in the walker my friend "Natasha" a few doors down let us borrow. The hummingbirds are back already! Hailey's newest trick.. to look at things she's not suppose to touch.. shake her head.. and say "huh huh huh"

Hailey stole Mama's lunch...

Hailey decided Mama's lunch looked much better than her gold fish she was having for a snack. I started off letting her have a little bite and was holding the bean and cheese burrito from Del Taco. After a bite or two, she grabbed it with both hands... made that "o" face... and gobbled up my burrito! She was VERY happy to do so.

Hailey loves whistling...

Recently, Hailey has taken back up Whistling. She really likes to whistle and gets so excited when she does... she'll clap and smile from ear to ear very proud of her accomplishment. I LOVE it! The bruising is almost gone from her fall last week on her little cheek.. Yay!

Bumps, bruises, and nice pictures...

I've been patiently waiting for Hailey's little scratch on her face to clear up so I can take some more nice pictures of her. I planned on taking her to Walmart in the morning. Well, plans have changed. This afternoon she lost her balance and smacked the entire side of her face on the metal frame of our bed. She has a bruise that covers her entire right cheek bone! She didn't cry long, but... had great big tears for a good minute or so. I tried to put a small ice pack on it... she kept on pushing it off her cheek and onto mine! My poor boo... now we'll have to wait for her bruise to heal! (and hope she doesn't get anymore for a while :)

Hailey's "Super Why" dance...

Hailey's favorite morning ritual... watching "Super Why" while doing her baby aerobics.
She's a very happy girl and LOVES to dance, sing, and listen to music. She has a giant smile and if you listen carefully, you can hear her "singing" and making noises to the TV show. Hailey has recently taken up singing... in church, at bedtime (w/Mama), in the bath,
while playing, and in her high chair. She sings with Elmo... if she hears the Elmo song... she'll sing her own "La La La la's" and flop her little arms and grin ear to ear.

Early Church...

At church today, Hailey pointed to another little boy about her age and said VERY LOUDLY "baby." It was clear as could be... so fun! We now have the early church hour. Today went pretty well... as you can see Hailey past out in the car soon as I put her in it. She barely made it thru the 3rd hour. Hailey's only fallen asleep twice in her car seat... very unusual for her. * Notice the hot bright sun shining in the car window? It's been an average of 61 degrees every day this week. This will be my first *WARM* birthday... funny!

Almost walking...

Hailey has tried several times today to stand from a sitting position without holding onto anything. She's gotten so close to standing up. While falling, she bends over and stands with her head on the floor and her tip toes on the ground and giggles. She's also trying to let go while standing and walk. Don't think it will be long and she'll be running! Her latest vocab words "Thank you, Excuse me, and Ewe.. stinky!"

Hailey's 1st Peanut Butter and Jelly...

Hailey celebrated New Years by eating her first Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich and drinking cranberry juice (she loves it)... apparently she's NOT allergic to nuts... Yay!

Hailey likes her Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa!

Grandma and Grandpa sent Hailey a very FUN toy for Christmas!
