Clapping and standing...
Hailey's taught herself how to clap. She loves it! She's been clapping at the TV and in the bathtub. She's been pulling herself up on toys and furniture... letting go... standing for about a second then (most of the time) controlling her fall. I'm sure she'll be walking by her birthday in December! If she had it her way, I think she'd be running already :)

Shadows..
At night or in the early morning when I'm feeding Hailey a bottle and in the rocking chair in her room... the nightlight is on and she can see shadows on the wall. This morning for the first time, she stood up on my lap and waved her hand... she realized it was her making the shadow move on the wall. She was ecstatic with excitement!!
"No..."
Hay's understood the word "No," for a very long time. She's also been able to say it. She recently figured out that if she says "No," we'll stop what we're doing to her. She says it while we're tickling her when she doesn't want tickled anymore, or when she wants out of her bouncer, swing, or high chair. She's been practicing... we hear "Na" (No) all day long! So.. I just layed Hailey down for her nap. She's been stubborn when it comes to sleeping. If she's not in the mood, she'll just play. She apparently doesn't want to be in her bed right now... "Na" is being shouted over and over! Oooh... she's such a ham!
Learning to "Growl..."
Seems every day she comes up with a new trick! She's learning to say "soft..." we're working with her on being softer. Aaron and I were laughing the other night... thought a perfect nickname for Hay would be "Dozer..." short for BULLDOZER! If you know her well, you understand :)
