A real (small :) sentence...

Yesterday morning Hailey was in her bouncer in the bathroom while I was getting ready. Aaron walked in. It was completely quiet and Hailey turned to Aaron and said "Hi Dad." Then she turned back around and continued playing with her toys!! Took us both by surprise. She's a smart little fart! We love her so much. We've been trying to get her to eat broccoli... she likes almost anything you give her... EXCEPT for broccoli! Guess we'll be spending the next few years trying to convince her broccoli is a really yummy food. Took Hailey to Wic yesterday to get another series of shots. Her last shots were 4 weeks ago. They said it was too early for her to get more shots.. 2 days too early! Ugh.. so.. we have to wait till next month to go back for more. While at Wic, I had them weigh Hailey. She's now 21 lbs!! She's getting big and is such a happy girl. I'm so glad she's doing well.

Hailey now say's "All done..." when she's done eating and when it's time for her to get out of the bathtub. She's been saying "Da" (Dad) a few days now. We ask her where Dad is and she say's (very loudly) "Da.." while looking in the few places he is usually at. If she doesn't see him, she then crawls to the bedroom looking for him.

We had an interesting day at church. I gave Hailey a bottle and she started choking. It scared me!! I grabbed her, opened her mouth, and found a HUGE piece of dark colored carpet she had tried to chew up and swallow. Yikes! Somehow she snuck it in while I wasn't looking. Shortly after, she continued to try and eat the tires on her stroller. I finally had to put her into the stroller so she couldn't get into any more mischief. The other day we were outside and when she looked up at me a big leaf was hanging out of her mouth. I think she's exploring her options for food :)

Hay can whistle!

Hailey has taught herself how to whistle. She spontaneously will do it throughout the day. As you can see.. a lot of her whistle is just blowing air. However, we DO hear little baby whistles come out quite often.

She loves to whistle!
