I woke up to my phone ringing at 2am last night. The hospital had results come back from one of Hailey's blood cultures. She had a bacteria (with some crazy name) in her blood. It's in the same family as strep throat & pneumonia. They don't know for sure how she got the bacteria, it's not known to be caught by someone already sick with strep/pneumonia. My cousin mentioned her daughter "Dakota," had a similar experience recently. Scary! *So sorry to hear, Kas! I'm grateful she is also doing well.* My cousin was told by their ER doctor's that their daughter's seizure was a "Febrile seizure." Our ER doctor's came to the same conclusion with Hailey. It has to do with their body temperature rising quickly. Apparently this can be quite common. I found a definition of a Febrile Seizure that accurately describes what happened to Hailey and is very informative. You can read it if you're interested at:

All is well!!! We got back from the doctor's this afternoon and she doesn't show any sign of the bacteria in her body anymore. Hailey is healthy... weighed in at 13lbs and 4oz. The pediatrician was extremely surprised there was no sign or trace of it. While at the hospital, this last weekend, Uncle Andy and Uncle Darrell gave her a blessing in the ER. I KNOW that is why my beautiful baby is healthy. I'm very happy they were able to give her a blessing. Heavenly Father is watching out for Hailey.. she's been thru a lot in her 3months so far. She's a very strong girl.. happy.. and very set in her ways :). I love her with all my heart and I'm so grateful she is okay. I took this picture of her today when we got home.. she's talking and playing with her ladybug.. she's happy!

Recovery...
Just a quick note.. I've had people ask me how my recovery is going. Considering I had surgery on Tuesday.. I'm doing really well. I'm looking forward to being normal again. Just thought I'd share I'm doing okay. Thank you for caring! I'm now getting sleepy myself.. going to take a little nap before my "sweetheart's" wake up.
Life flight...
It's early Sunday morning. I can't sleep... thought I'd write a new post on our family blog. I'm so grateful my beautiful "Hay Hay" is okay! She was life flighted from Grandma's house in Idaho City, yesterday morning, to St. Lukes hospital. She suffered a minor seizure. They did several tests including a cat scan. Talk about scary!!! I flew in the helicopter with Hailey and Daddy was at home. He didn't know anything had happened. Uncle Andy (Thank you) had to go get Daddy and meet us in the ER. So far, everything has come back positive. My baby is okay!!! Yesterday was horrible! She had every possible poke and needle stuck into her. "Thank you" to my family! What a day. Drew & Darrell... "Thank you for giving Hailey a blessing. I know she's okay because of it." I couldn't have gotten thru this without my family, or my wonderful husby. Matt & Erin.. "Thank you for lunch. It was much appreciated." My sisters, brothers, mom, and stepmom were all so supportive in the ER. The whole family shed lots of tears and had many moments of not knowing what was wrong. They don't know what caused the seizure. They think she may have gotten too hot. So far, it's a freak thing... don't think it will happen again. We're having to watch her close in case she shows signs of a seizure again. Which by the way... were: yellowed skin color, eyes rolling back into her head, cold and clammy, wouldn't respond to Mommy, was lethargic, and rapid breathing... her lips got a little bluish according to the paramedic's (I didn't see.. was running around getting ready to meet the helicopter). She had an unusual cry... it was more like an uncomfortable moan. My poor baby was miserable. The paramedic's were all so kind. I had to hold Hailey while trying to take blood from her... that was worse than watching her get vaccinated. The orange bear is what they used to give her oxygen. The air comes out of the Bear's tummy. And, below the bear :( is Mommy and Daddy's favorite pair of pj's that Hailey just grew into... they wouldn't let me pull her arm out of the Jammie's and insisted on cutting the arm to take her blood. Oh well.. small price to pay considering. I'm so happy Hailey is doing so well. She's napping peacefully in her crib now. Mommy and Daddy are so relieved. Hay hay.. we love you!!!

Our recent updates...
We've been a very busy family I haven't had the opportunity to post very much. I'm happy to report Hailey is doing very well! She weighed in at 12lbs 9oz at her last appointment. She had a series of vaccinations... one of which made my poor baby quite sick for the week. She's back to her old self now... smiling and cooing like crazy. She recently found her thumb. I know the time will come that Aaron and I will be wishing she didn't. For now... it's a great relief... she doesn't need her binki quite so much.
My surgery update: I'm doing okay... I got home last night. I have 4 incisions. I feel more restricted when trying to move than I was with my C-Section. The incisions are very small but in multiple places so I feel it more. I'm getting better every minute. My recovery should only take a few day's. "Thank you to those in the ward who've been bringing us food! We REALLY appreciate it so much. It's been a huge help!" My poor husband... I feel bad for him because he's had broncitus (sp?) for over a month now and is still sick/tired from it. He's been a wonderful help! I owe Shelley so much... she's had Hailey for me (even over night) which has been the biggest blessing! "Thank you Shell for being so wonderful and helping me out. My recovery is so much better knowing my baby is in such good hands. I love you! I don't think I could've done this nearly as well without your watching Her for us." I'd better go lay back down... my tummy is starting to hurt pretty bad. I'll post more soon~
